This can be understood by the following;
HO SHIN SUL -
Self defence from external force.
SUL GI - The defense against a physical attack.
To use a minimum amount of force to control the attack.
From beginner to 4th Dan.
BI GI - Advanced technique, controlling the enemy without struggling
against the attack.
Up to 7th Dan.
SIN GI - Highest level tehcniques
The enemy should be unable to see the defence, if the defence is seen
then the attacker can still do nothing about it.
Up to 10th Dan.
HUAL IN SUL - Self defence internally
The combination of ones own inner and outer energies. Inner is achieved
through meditation and stimulating circulation, concentrating all of your
inner energy to the source of the problem e.g. an injury. This practice
also helps to maintain good health.
