Trip to Korea March 2005

Day 9

We wake up early in the bath- house, eat spicy noodles, ditch our shorts & T-shirts, and reclaim our clothes and head up the west coast to Gongju.
We stop to go in King Muryeong's tomb, an enormous grassy semicircular pyramid type of grave, and admire the skill of the craftsmen who made the jewellery, swords, and golden diadems from over 1500 years ago.
Still in Gongju we visit a Fortress which dates back from 475AD, plus a mountain temple, this involves a walk of many steep inclines.
We travel on to one of the Korean folk villages, functioning as it would have done a hundred years ago.
Eventually we arrive back to Seoul and our home temple where we prepare ourselves for a 4:00am wake up call.
